Alan Houmann is the Managing Director and Head of Citi’s Government Affairs team for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, based in London. The team is focused on public policy issues, including regulatory reform.
Alan participates actively in the public policy arena and has a broad background in EU financial services policy. Previous roles include the Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS, since been re-established as the European Banking Authority, EBA); international banking policy and supervisory cooperation at the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA); European Commission, in the directorate for economic and financial affairs, and in the team leading the introduction of the euro; and the secretariat of the EU’s Economic and Financial Committee (EFC). Alan started his career as an economist with HM Treasury.
Alan has Master’s degrees in international studies and philosophy, from the University of St. Andrews, and in economics from the University of London.
The meeting will be held in English.
